中国早期矿业利用外资经历了特许、合办以及借款三种不同形式。特许贻害无穷,致使矿产任人宰割;合资徒有虚名,实权操于外人之手;借款往往以出卖廉价矿产资源作为代价,结果之坏与合办无异。这其中最有代表性的当属汉冶萍公司。汉冶萍举借外债的失败,揭示了早期中国矿业利用外资的艰难处境,留下了极为深刻的历史教训。

The using foreign capitals had three different forms in the early Chinese mining industry, it included the charter, joint and loan. Franchise caused endless troubles, and thus the minerals suffered from trample; the joint venture was only worthy of the name, the real power was operated in the hands of outsiders; the loan tends to sell cheap mineral resources as a result of tbe price, and the result was bad as well as the joint venture. Among these, the most representative one was Han Yeping Company. The failures of Han Yeping borrowing external debts, revealed the difficult positions of using foreign capitals in the early Chinese mining industry, and left very deep historical lessons.
