张岱年既是20世纪三四十年代中国现代价值哲学的重要创立者,也是20世纪八九十年代"价值热"思潮的重要参与者。张岱年价值哲学包括一般价值论和人生价值论,其"形性功能"价值范畴体现了辩证唯物论与中国古典价值论的融合,内外价值论开现代生态伦理学之先河。张岱年价值哲学为世界价值哲学提供了一种宝贵的本土化理论资源,这有助于我们从价值哲学的角度重新评价张岱年在中国哲学史和世界哲学史上的卓越地位。

Zhang Dainian is both an important pioneer in axiological studies in modern China during the 1930s and 1940s,and an important participator in the upsurge of value studies during the 1980s and 1990s.Zhang's axiological studies cover general axiology and life axiology.His value category of 'form-function' represents the integration of dialectical materialism and classical Chinese axiology,and the combination of internal and external values marks the start of modern ecological ethics.Zhang's axiological studies provide a local theoretical resource for the world axiology,which is the key to our re-evaluation of Zhang's outstanding position in the history of Chinese philosophy and world philosophy in the perspective of axiology.
