摘要
本文通过两个实验探讨了中英不平衡双语者口译中的源语理解过程。实验1比较了受试在读后口译和读后复述中加工均衡歧义词的特点,发现读后口译的源语理解受词汇歧义和工作记忆负荷的影响,而读后复述中则没有;实验2比较了高、低工作记忆容量受试在加工句首、句末音译词时的异同,发现只有高容量受试在读后口译中阅读句末音译词的时间显著快于控制词。实验结果部分支持并行加工理论,同时阐明了任务图式在口译源语理解中的作用。
Two experiments are conducted to explore unbalanced Chinese-English bilinguals' comprehension processes of source language in interpreting.Experiment 1 compared participants' processing of lexical ambiguity in reading for interpreting and reading for repetition.The results showed that in reading for interpreting,participants' online comprehension was affected by lexical ambiguity and memory load,no such effects were observed when they read for repetition.Experiment 2 investigated how the participants processed the Chinese transliterated words and found that transliterated words at the final portion of the sentences facilitated the performance of the participants with high working memory capacity.The results provide partial support for horizontal theories of translation and further illustrate that task schemas play a very important role in interpreting.
