新文学家与1930年代山东大学的文学教育

Modern Writers and Literary Education of Shandong University in 1930's

1930年代,当新文学在中国很多大学的文学学科中遭受冷遇之时,位于青岛的山东大学却聘请了多位新文学家担任文学院教员。这些新文学家教员通过教学、研究等学术活动以及演讲、社团、刊物等校园文化传播渠道,向学生介绍新文学的理念和方法,使山大形成了注重新文学研究和创作的文学学科特色。同时,前后两批来到山大的新文学家分别秉持了侧重文学的艺术价值和侧重文学的现实功用这两种不同的文学倾向,从而使得山大的文学教育形成了兼顾文学的审美和社会价值的传统。

In the 1930＇s, when the New Literature was met with indifference in the literary disci- plines among most of Chinese universities, Shandong University at Qingdao invited several modern writers to be teachers of its literary school. These modern writers took part in academic activities of the university, such as teaching and study, and they also joined in some campus cultural activities, just like making speeches, establishing organizations and editing publications. In the activities, they introduced the New Literature to the students, making them interested in New Literature study and writing. The two groups of writers coming to Shandong University in different periods held different literary ideas. One group paid attention to the artistic value of literature, while the other stressed on the connection between literature and the reality. Because of their influence, the literary disciplines of Shandong University set up a tradition of emphasis on both the aesthetics value and the social value of literature.
