摘要
补偿型习语是一种特殊的语言现象,是交际双方为了修补交际中的面子威胁行为使用的套话。人们容易把补偿型习语和安慰语混淆。文章在区分这两种语言现象及总结补偿型习语特征的基础上,探讨了补偿型习语的运行规则和语用功能,最后指出了过度应用该类习语的负面效果。
As a unique linguistic phenomenon, compensatory idioms serve as formulaic words using to make up for the Face Threatening Act. Confusion often arises when they are to be distinguished from consoling words for specific purposes. On the basis of analyzing their differences,the paper depicts the characteristics of compensatory idioms, rules of application and functionality. Negative impacts of their overuse are also discussed in this paper.
