我国北方地区冬季气温较低，当进风井巷中井壁渗水或有滴水时，会产生冰冻现象，给运输、提升机械设备的正常运行带来困难，威胁安全生产。此外大量冷空气进入井下，恶化气候条件，影响工人身体健康。因此必须对冷空气预热，使进风温度不低于2℃，以保证安全生产。介绍了鲁南矿业有限公司增设热风炉预热空气解决矿井井筒结冰的措施。
