摘要
基于Patrick提出的"文化体验"的实践观念,探讨英文电影作为多模态文本,将其作为文化教学素材进行文化体验教学的可行性,同时探讨了具体课堂教学实施步骤,并提出可能存在的不足。
Culture teaching is an integral part of language teaching. Nowadays people of different cultural back- grounds have deep and close contact with each other in a more complex and diversified age, therefore, intercultural com- municative competence has been highly valued. Meanwhile, with the fast development of information technology, the cen- ter position of language, a tool of communication, has been occupied by a new mulfimodal expressive patterns. The de- mands of a new age undoubtedly influence the college English teaching including its methods and contents. Based on the idea of " cultural experience" , this paper explores the possibility of introducing " cultural experience" to the culture teaching by using fdms which can be regarded as multimodal texts and perfect combinations of language and culture. Fur- thermore, it puts forward some pedagogical suggestions and limitations for film teaching.
