翻译目的论观照下的翻译失误——以地方政府网站英文网页为例

On Translation Errors in the English Websites of Local Governments:from the Perspective of Skopostheorie

以江苏省常州市及其新北区政府英文网页为例,结合翻译目的论的三大法则,参照有关汉语网页的内容,尝试从英文规范、措辞表达、语法结构、基本常识等方面剖析存在的翻译失误并提出修改建议,总结提出解决有关问题的对策。

Skopostheorie, characterized by its target-orientedness and its focus on non-literary texts,can be effectively applied to the English translation of Chinese websites of local governments. By referring to related Chinese websites, the paper makes use of the three rules of Skopostheorie to classify and analyze translation errors in such aspects as English standard, diction, grammar and even common sense of the English websites of Changzhou and its CND and then puts forward practical suggestions and strategies for the correcting of such errors as studied above.
