From the surface, Wang Meng＇ s life experiences and multi - layered identity were the major factors of ＂Wang Meng Phenomenon＂. Never- theless, the formation of his literary thoughts and the major spiritual qualities and way of thoughts bore an obvious post - revolutionary trait--rational, tolerate, multi - layered. His literary thoughts formed one of the fundamental basis of survey and judge of the literary world on the trends of literature after ＂Cultural Revolution＂.
