Expression and clinical significance of E2F1 in esophageal cancer

摘要 目的:探讨E2F1在食管癌患者中的表达及其与临床病理特征的关系。方法:采用免疫组化法对内镜活检确诊的80例食管癌标本石蜡切片进行染色,并取同体距离癌组织4cm以上的正常食管上皮组织40例作为对照。免疫组化染色检测E2F1的表达,并分析其与食管癌临床病理特征的关系。结果:E2F1蛋白在食管癌组织中阳性表达率显著高于癌旁正常食管组织。E2F1的表达与食管癌浸润深度、淋巴结转移和临床分期、病理类型、病灶大小密切相关(P<0.05),而与患者的性别、年龄、肿瘤分化程度等无明显相关(P>0.05)。结论:E2F1在食管癌组织中表达状态与食管癌发生发展关系密切,对食管癌患者预后评估有一定的参考价值。 Objective:To investigate the expression of E2F1 and its clinical pathological significance in esophageal cancer tissues. Methods:The expression of E2F1 protein in 80 specimens of esophageal cancer was detected by im- munohistochemistry. Forty normal specimens more than 4 cm away from the cancer focus were controls. The correlation of E2F1 expression to clinical pathological parameters was analysed were controls. Results :The intensive positive rate of E2F1 in esophageal cancer was significantly higher than normal tissues. The expression of E2F1 was highly correla- ted with the clinical stage,lymph node metastasis and T classification ( P 〈 0.05 ). On the other hand,it was not cor- related with gender, age, or tumor differentiation (P 〉 0.05 ). Conclusion:The overexpression of E2F1 in esophageal carcinoma enhances the invasion and metastasis. E2F1 may serve as a good prognostic factor to indicate biologic be- havior of esophageal carcinoma, high E2F1 may be a useful predictive marker for malignant potential of esophageal squamous cancer.
