The self-education of the graduate student is a new way and method to improve the quality of the graduate student.In order to improve the ability of the graduate student self-education,the principle of SWOT will be used to analyze the graduate student＇s advantages and disadvantages,opportunities and threats,and from the following several aspects to improve the ability of the graduate student self-education：to strengthen the consciousness of graduate student self-education by perfecting the tutorial system and strengthening academic atmosphere;to meet the practical demand of the graduate student self-development by conforming to the society.The reflection and incentive from the practical activities will provide a platform for improving the ability of graduate student＇s self-education.
