摘要
车牌自动识别系统是现代智能交通领域的重要研究课题之一。文章主要研究了车牌自动识别系统中的车牌图像的边缘检测和车牌定位的算法及其实现过程。车牌图像的边缘检测采用Prewitt算子检测方法,车牌定位采用了基于车牌先验知识和线扫描的方法。实验结果表明:应用上述方法能够准确定位到车牌区域,算法检测用时短,错误率较低,具有一定的使用价值。
The license plate recognition system is one of the important research subjects in modern in telligent transportation systems. This paper mainly studies the edge detection and license plate location in license plate recognition system. License plate edge detection uses the Prewitt operator detection method and license plate location uses the method based on the plate prior knowledge and line scanning. The ex perimental results show that using the above methods can accurately get the required license plate image region. This algorithm has certain application value.
