Congratulations from a partner journal, with roughly the same titel, viz. Linguistics, published by Mouton de Gruyter in Berlin and New York. This journal was founded, it seems, in 1963, which means that we celebrate its 50th anniversary next year, a celebration which will not, however, live up to the standard you are setting here today. Linguistics started in Holland, in the Hague with the pub- lisher Mouton, and was acquired by the German publisher Walter de Gruyter, which itself goes back to 1748.
