Cloud computing is known as the key to reduce cost and raise efficiency, and it's an inevitable trend for companies to move their applications onto public clouds. However, the development of clouds in China is still in a difficult time due to various constraints.Recently,as Microsoft's cloud service'Windows Azure' landed in China in October, the situation is turning around. As a promotion support for Windows Azure, together with IDG Capital Partners,Microsoft established Microsoft Accelerator of Windows Azure(MAWA)in Microsoft's Asia-Pacific R&D Group. With MAWS,Microsoft intends to collect feedback and lead the innovation environment.Unlike an incubator which helps early-stage entrepreneurs,MAWS only supports mature entrepreneur teams without requiring company share or any other benefits.Selected teams will receive 2 years of free Windows Azure service as well as other support. This is the first accelerator that combines public cloud service with entrepreneur incubation in China. Now half a year has passed by.The first 10 participants will finish their training, and more will join in.Before the joyful Demo Day,we have selected 4 of them to share their stories with you, hoping to provide some illumination beyond the clouds.
