试论《镜花缘》题材内容的三个特点及其意义——兼及仅以《镜花缘》为“才学小说”的偏颇

Features and Significance of Theme and Content of Jing Hua Yuan (镜花缘)

胡适论《镜花缘》题材内容特点实有三个方面:一女权,二俗弊,三才艺。鲁迅虽有承胡适之论,但总体归《镜花缘》为"才学小说",而致偏颇。《镜花缘》是中国第一部女权主义小说,在世界女权主义文学和女权史上都应该"占一个很光荣的位置"。其以"才学"为小说,既是时风使然,又是小说穷则思变的结果,而集中写知识女性的才艺生活,实亦别开生面,又新颖之致。

Hu Shi thought that the theme and content features of Jing Hua Yuan（镜花缘） included female right,vulgar practive and talent and skill.Though Lu Xun’s idea is basically the same as Hu Shi’s,he regarded Jing Hua Yuan（镜花缘） as a novel of talent and learning.This is biased.As the first novel on feminism of China,Jing Hua Yuan（镜花缘） should has a glorious position in feminism literature and feminism history in the world.What make the author to take talent and learning as the theme of the novel is both the social atmosphere and the idea of finding a new theme.Furthermore,the description of learnt women opens a fresh outlook and original.
