zebra crossing is a type of pedestrian crossing used in many places around the world. Its distinguishing feature is alternating black and white stripes on the road surface, from which itderives its name. Zebra markings give pedestrians permanent right of way which can allow passers-by to cross the road safely. Drivers will slow down or stop when they see the zebra crossing, because zebra crossings are always located in the places where there is high risk of traffic jams and traffic accidents.
