压杆临界力实验方法

The Experimental Method of the Critical Load of a Column

众所周知 ,用实验方法测压杆临界值是有一定困难的。Southwell在他的名著AnIntroductiontotheTheoryofElasticity ,P . 4 2 9提出了一个方法来解决这个问题。对Southwell的方法加以进一步的分析后 ,得到了一个既简便又更精确的用实验测压杆临界力的方法。

It is well known that to obtain the critical load of a column experimentally is rather difficult. Southwell proposed a method to solve this problem in his famous book “An Introduction to the Theory of Elasticity”P429. Southwell′s method is discussed again and an improved method is proposed. By this method the critical load could be obtained more easily and accurately.
