Globalization has been the key reason for the increased exposure, worldwide, of hinese art and artists, suggests American Meg Maggio. When she first arrived in China, nearly 20 years ago, many Chinese artists didn＇t have a place to exhibit their work. Maggio and a few of her friends established The Courtyard gallery in 1996. Today, she is director of her own gallery, P6kin Fine Arts, located in Caochangdi, an area that is well recognized for displaying the works of China＇s most exciting contemporary ＇artists.
