This paper approaches Mo Yan's sensory space from the perspective of global literature and interart studies. The foreign literature influences Mo Yan initially as liberation of senses, and it is closely linked with his unique understanding of the mediality of literature. Mo Yan's amplifying senses based on color and image can be regarded as the utopia redemption and compensation of reality. His exploration of the heterogeneity of sound is an interart response to a greater problem of polyphony of Chinese culture. Finally, the "hallucinatory" element in his works responds to the "Augmented Reality" of the arts of new media.
