中国崛起与中美关系的走向

Rise of China and Future of Sino-US Relations

中国崛起,已成为世界第二大经济强国,同时,中国的经济发展也产生出对美国的挑战力量。对于中美关系而言,中国崛起导致中美两国深度的相互依存,中国成为美国的"利益攸关者"而不是"威胁者",所谓"中国威胁论"是建立在谬误基础上的。中美关系要想健康发展必须处理好美国对台军售、双方政治制度分歧和战略互疑三大问题。美国是一个正在衰退的超级大国,中国则是一个实力不断增强但却有软肋的大国,两国内在的问题决定今后的中美关系是并存与合作。中美两国合则双赢,斗则双输。中国崛起应以美国为鉴,在全球事务中争当老大是有责任和成本的,而事物的发展规律是盈满则亏。

China has become the second largest world economic power,hence presenting a quite challenge to the United States.At the same time the rise of China has brought about further interdependence of the two countries,making China a stakeholder rather than a threat to the U.S.The so-called 'China Threat'is ill-founded.The key to a healthy Sino-US relationship lies in the proper management of three issues: arms sale to Taiwan,political system differences and strategic mistrust.The United States is a superpower in decline,while China,as a rising power,also has its internal weaknesses.This fact postulates the inevitable coexistence and cooperation of the future of Sino-US relations-the only way to a positive sum game for the bilateral relationship.China,though in rise,should learn a lesson from the United States: To be a global leader means responsibility and costs;imperial overstretch leads to decline.
