摘要
笑隐大訢以华严"法界事事无碍"观,去充分肯定"世俗技艺,无非佛事",反映出以艺术为佛事的审美价值取向。他很重视画意中要具有能启迪和牵动读者的力量,特别肯定那种具有如董狐之笔的褒贬作用的作品。他强调绘画在佛教教育中的作用,并指出了绘画创作的特殊性。绘画能否描绘公案、表现禅机、呈现悟境?大訢明确指出它们是不能"以笔墨形容"的。大訢倡导书法创作活动应遵"佛制",不能"溺于文艺"。他以人品论书法,指出能从禅门大师书法的"片纸之中",窥见其人生境界与人格魁力。他主张书家应自辟门径,在博采众长的基础上,形成自家独特的面目,自成一家法。
In accordance to the doctrines of Buddhism, Master Daxin attaches great importance to the aesthetic value of paintings in enlightening the readers, like the works that reflect the affairs of life. He emphasizes the special features of painting in that it should play a role in Buddhist education and reveal the Zen allegory and Buddhist enlightenment. In calligraphy, Daxin advocates that the art should follow Buddhist doctrines and that a calligraphic work should be judged by the artist's personality. In calligraphic practice, he puts stress on the creativity and uniqueness of the artist.
