In the thirty years of Liang Xiao-sheng＇ s creative process, his novels have shown distinctive features in different stages. From the ＂educated youth＂ novels in the 1980s to the social issue novels in transition period and the sentimental novels in the new century, all of his works record the social reality at that time. Behind these exists his ever-changing creation pursuit - realizing furthermost the social value and function of literature.
