China National Textile & Apparel Council (CNTAC) took nearly three years to produce a set of large docudrama "Silk Road" which gathered the efforts from China’s high-end television creative team, senior industry experts, and cross-industry scholars. The 16 episodes of the 21 ones of the docudrama were broadcasted in the CCTV in September and October 2012, which was well received within the industry. CNTAC together with China International Television Corporation published "Silk Road" DVD, and its first publication ceremony was celebrated on December 20th of 2012.
