An Analysis of Rhyme Features of Quanzhou Traditional Liyuan Opera

泉州传统梨园戏是中国现存最古老的剧种之一,因保留了大量宋元剧目,古语积淀十分丰富,被誉为"戏曲历史博物馆"。梨园戏韵部系统共20韵部,包含《彙音妙悟》42韵共83个韵母,这些韵母分为阴声韵、阳声韵、鼻化韵等6种韵类。韵母之间可以跨韵类相押和-m、-n、-三种阳声韵之间可以通押是梨园戏押韵最显著的两个特征。这些特征,一方面缘于闽南戏曲演唱行腔吐字的特殊规律,另一方面与闽南话的语音特征有关。

Quanzhou Traditional Liyuan Opera is one of the oldest operas in China. Because it keeps a great number of opera lists in the Song and Yuan dynasties and it has rich deposition of ancient Chinese prose, it is known as ＂The Historical Museum of Traditional Chinese Operas＂. Liyuan Opera rhyme system consists of 20 rhymes, which contain 42 rhymes of a total of 83 fi- nals in Huiyinmiaowu. These finals are divided into six kinds, for example, Yin Rhyme, Yang Rhyme, Nose Rhyme, and so on. The two most significant attributes of Liyuan Opera rhyme are： the cross -rhyme exists among finals and three positive endings ＂ - m, - n and - N＂ can be cross - rhymed. The attributes are partly due to the special laws of vocal music and enunciation in Minnan Opera, and are partly associated with the phonetic features of Minnan dialect.
