Advancement in researches of small animal PET/CT and its application in disease models

摘要 目前PET/CT已作为我国最先进的分子影像技术之一,在临床和科研工作中具有举足轻重的地位,并经历了十余年平稳而快速的发展。小动物PET/CT虽然起步较晚,但在活体动物实验领域中已显示其灵敏度高、准确性好、检查便捷、成像清晰等优势,为临床研究奠定了坚实的基础。同时,由于专用小动物PET/CT使用成本较高,将临床PET/CT更好地用于小动物领域的研究工作已取得了较大的进步,且在肿瘤组织、心血管系统及运动系统等具体方向的实验研究中发挥了重要作用。 Over the past decades, great success has been achieved for PET/CT in China. PET/CT could be a useful molecular imaging modality in various phases of disease progression. Meanwhile, animal PET/CT could be used in preclinical studies and shows a high sensitivity and accuracy, making it a powerful tool in animal experiments. With the consideration of the high cost of dedicated small animal PET/CT, many scientists pay attention to the utility of clinical PET/CT for small animal research and they have made great progress in the study of tumor tissue, cardiovascular system and locomotor system.
