Different Tragic Images Same Tragic Fates:Comparison of Images of Abandoned Women in Chinese and Greek Literature

弃妇文学深刻地反映了社会的诸方面现实,有着极高的艺术特色。作为特定的文化现象,弃妇问题历来受到广泛关注。中西方文学是在两种不同的文化背景下产生的,但在古希腊和先秦两汉时期却同时出现了反映弃妇问题的作品。本文对中希弃妇形象进行整体对比,并试图阐释这种差异形成的原因。

The literature about abandoned women profoundly reflects the social aspects of reality, with high artistic characteristics. As a specific cultural phenomenon, the problem about abandoned women has always been widespread concerned. Chinese and Western literature are produced in different cultural contexts, but in ancient Greece and the Qin and Hart Dynasties there were works which reflect the problem of abandoned women at the same time. This paper tries to have a comprehensive study on the abandoned women in Chinese and Greek cultures and to explain the reasons for the differences.
