《商务馆学汉语词典》释义存在的问题及改进意见

Definition-related Problems in Commercial Press Learner's Dictionary of Contemporary Chinese and Possible Solutions

本文从《商务馆学汉语词典》中随机抽取了50个动词,并对这些动词的释义进行了分析和研究,发现其中19个动词的释义分别存在着释义不够精确、释义不完整、释义限制过严、释义用词太难、释义未能反映被释义词的内涵意义、释义网络未做到完全闭环等问题。针对这些问题,运用现代语言学理论对它们进行了改写。

The paper selects 50 verbs from The Commercial Press Learner＇s Dictionary of Contemporary Chinese by random sampling, and then discusses their definitions. It has found that 19 out of these verbs have at least one of the following problems, such as inaccuracy of the core meaning, incompleteness or narrowness of definitions, use of difficult words in the definitions, failure in representing the connotative meanings or in achieving closeness of the defining network. With the above analysis, these definitions are rewritten by employing modern linguistic theories.
