Development Economics and China's Economic Development Models

发展经济学家提出的发展战略在中国得到了有效的实施,促进了中国经济持续高速增长,这些战略可以归纳为四种模式:增长优先、沿海先行、投资驱动和出口鼓励。随着中国经济进入新的发展阶段,这些模式逐渐暴露出它们的弊病,因此必须适时加以转变,即增长优先转到增长与公平并重、投资驱动转到投资与消费共同驱动、沿海先行转到区域平衡发展、出口鼓励转到出口中性。发展经济学只探讨处于贫困陷阱阶段的发展中国家经济如何启动,但对发展中国家进入中等收入阶段之后将如何发展却研究甚少。中国在高速增长时期采取的发展战略在发展经济学中都能找到其理论来源,但进入中等收入阶段之后中国经济应如何发展,发展经济学却未提出有价值的理论与战略。中国将在探索中前进,其发展经验将会促进发展经济学的理论创新。

The development strategies proposed by development economists were carried out effectively in China,promoting its rapid sustainable increase in economic development.These strategies can be summarized as four models: growth priority,investment drive,coastal development priority,and export encouragement.With the Chinese economy stepping into a new period,these models led to some problems gradually.However,development economics only discusses about how to jump out from the poverty trap in pre-take-off phase in developing countries,and there is little valuable theory and strategy in development economics about how China further develops its economy after entering the middle income stage.China will march forward in exploration,and its development experience will promote the theoretical innovation in development economics.
