在中国众多传统建筑结构形式中,木结构建筑是发展时间最长的建筑形式之一。中国传统木结构建筑的历史辉煌灿烂,其色彩应用种类丰富。传统木结构建筑的用色源于对木材的保护和装饰,受地域文化和民族文化的影响木结构建筑逐渐体现出"低调素雅"和"丰富多彩"两种截然不同的主体色彩。在历史悠久和幅员辽阔的中国,木结构建筑用色体现出独特的时代特征和地域差异。进行这些研究对于古建筑保护和仿古建筑设计有重要的意义。

The history of Chinese traditional wooden architecture is brilliant, the color applications is variety. The role of color in the traditional wooden structures is protection and decoration. Because of the regional and national cultures influences on the wood structure, the wood structure gradually reflects two very different of the main color of the wood structure such as the ＂low-key unadorned＂ and ＂colorful＂. In China with long history and vast land, the color of wooden structures reflects the unique characteristics of the times and geographical differences. The study about this has an important meaning for protecting ancient architecture and pseudo-classic architecture design.
