陈嘉庚在中国现代教育史上占有一个特殊的地位。这不仅由于他毕生致力于教育事业,在国内和南洋兴办几十所大、中、小学,树立了捐资兴学的典范,更是由于他具有现代中国特色的教育思想和办学实践,对发展中国教育事业有其深邃意义。总结陈嘉庚的教育思想与实践研究,并分析出各阶段的研究特点,提出研究的前景。

Tan Kah Kee in modem Chinese education history occupies a special status. This is not only because of his lifelong commitment to the cause of education in the country and Southeast Asia to set up dozens of large, medium, primary, set a model for the donor while back, but also because he has modem Chinese characteristics, the development of China＇s education cause has a profound significance in our education system.
