图书馆学研究中定性与定量研究的再思考

Re-thought on Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis of Library Science Research

定性与定量研究是图书馆学研究中的两个基本范式,尽管二者在哲学基础、研究对象、研究目的、研究方法等方面存在显著不同,但总结图书馆学研究发展进程,任何试图将两者对立的做法都无法达到推进图书馆学发展的目的。因此,将两者充分结合,使图书馆学研究方法走向多元,是图书馆学研究必须遵循的基本原则。

Qualitative and quantitative analysis is the main methods of library science research. Although there are differences on philosophy base, research objects, aims and methods, by summing up the development of library science re- search, we can＇ t achieve the aim of developing library science research by opposite the two methods. So the basic principle of library science research is combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis, which can advance the methods of library science research from monism to pluralism.
