Leading Cadres Should Serve the People and be Down-to-earth,Honest and Upright in Conduct

党的十八大报告明确提出,围绕保持党的先进性和纯洁性,在全党深入开展以"为民、务实、清廉"为主要内容的党的群众路线教育实践活动。贯彻落实好党的十八大精神,各级领导干部必须牢记为民宗旨,弘扬务实作风,铸造清廉品质,着力解决人民群众反映强烈的突出问题,切实维护好、实现好、发展好最广大人民的根本利益。

It is explictly formulated in the Report of the Eighteenth National Congress of the CPC that,in order to maintain the Party~ advanced nature and purity ,we should carry out intensive activities throughout the Party to study and practice its mass line, with the focus on the need to serve the people and to be down -to -earth, honest and upright in conduct. To well carry through the spirit of the Eighteenth National Congress of the CPC, the leading cadres of all levels must keep in mind the tenet of serving the people, carry forward the working style of being down - to - earth, and mold their qualities of being honest and upright, so as to solve the pressing prob- lems of keen concern to the people and actually safeguard, realize and develop the fundamental interests of the o- verwhelming majority of the people.
