Playing the role of main investor as well as risk bearer and providing fund for the project, private capital is a valuable resource for urban infrastructure construction. According to the experience home and abroad, patterns of private capital＇s participation in infrastructure construction are varied and each pattern has both advantages as well as disadvantages. It is necessary to maximize the benefit of private capital by carefully choosing the pattern of its participation in infrastructure construction according to factors like project characteristics, service object, degree of risk and operation difficulty degree.
