On Pursuit of Authenticity in On the Road

根据海德格尔存在主义理论,"此在"的存在方式通常以非本真的状态出现,而其本真的方式迷失在"常人"之中。但"良知的呼唤"能够把"此在"带到本真状态中。运用海德格尔的存在主义哲学思想分析《在路上》的主人公萨尔和迪安对本真的追寻,认为萨尔在本真的追寻路上摇摆不定,最终回归常人的生活方式,而迪安却一直执着地追求本真的生活方式。

According to Heidegger＇s existentialist theories, ＂being-there＂ usually exists itself in the mode of inauthenticity, while its authentic self gets lost in ＂Man＂. However, the call of conscience can make being-there go hack to its authenticity. Starting from the foundation of Heidegger＇s existentialist philosophy, this article analyzes Sat Paradise and Dean Moriarty＇s self-searching for the authenticity, and points out that Sal Paradise does not stick to the pursuit of authenticity, and eventually returning to Man＇s way of life, while Dean Moriarty always dedicates his life to oursue the authentic way of life.
