The paper illustrates the mechanism of the liquefaction of the saturated silt and the main condition for the liquefaction, and the differences in liquefaction judgment formula between old and new anti-seismic regulations, understands the general features for the saturated silt at the region, and achieves more scientific conclusion accordign to the analysis of the calculation results of the saturated silt liquefaction judgment at Bengbu region.
