According to the usage -based view of language, language acquisition depends on the frequency of exposure to the language. In English as a foreign language learning environment, reading is one of the main means of exposure to the lan- guage. Reading a great number of appropriate materials, forming good reading habits and correctly using reading methods and strategies can accelerate the acquisition process and enhance the accuracy of the language. However, only by integrating read- ing, speaking and writing can we really improve our foreign language proficiency level.
