教材是ESP课程的重要组成部分。运用Hutchinson&Waters的教材评估模型,对《旅游英语》进行教材评估。评估结果发现,该教材基本满足使用者的需求。该评估亦对今后的ESP教材评估以及课堂教学的理论与实践具有参考价值。

Teaching materials is one of the important part of ESP teaching. With the evaluating model for teaching materi- als developed by Hutchinson ＆ Waters , an evaluation has been made for English for Tourism. It is concluded that the textbook can meet the needs of learners basically . The evaluation made is of significance for ESP teaching materials and for carrying out English teaching both theoretically and practically.
