Multiculturalism and American Chinese Female Literature

滥觞于20世纪70年代的多元文化主义与美国华裔女性文学有着紧密的联系。多元文化主义既是一种社会政治理论,又是一种社会实践活动。美国华裔女性文学在不同时期的作品正是这种社会政治理论的实践映照。水仙花、黄玉雪、汤亭亭、伍慧明等作家作品中刻画的华裔妇女形象,真实地再现了不同历史时期华裔妇女的社会地位、生活状况以及融合东西方文化重构文化身份的历程。

Originated in 1970s American Chinese Female literature has a close relation with muhicuhural ism. Muhicuhuralism is not only a social political theory, but a social practical activity. Different literary works in different period reflect such a social political theory. American Chinese female created by Sui San Far, Jade Snow Wong, Maxine Hong Kingston, F. M. Ng truly reflected the social position, living condition, and the process of building cultural identity in blending western and eastern culture.
