In combination with the actual situation of No.1 generator-transformer unit (generator, main transformer, HV plant service transformer, and exciter) of Shentou No.2 Power Plant of Shanxi State Grid Energy Development Co., Ltd., the paper introduces and analyzes the protection mode and characteristics of the RCS-985B microcomputer-based generator-transformer unit manufactured by Nanjing Nari-Relays Electric Co., Ltd. The test shall meet the regulations on inspection standard for protective operation of the relays and meet the 25 countermeasures of Shanxi Province.
