Uniqueness of Li E's Poetic Creation

清代诗人厉鹗反对为诗人和诗歌划分派别。现今大部分文学史著作将厉鹗树为浙派诗的代表人物,有碍于对其人其诗特立性的认识。厉鹗诗并非以师从某一派风格并将其推至极致取胜。他孜孜追求诗歌的艺术质量,表现为诗意的新奇和诗句的精整。

Li E, a poet in the Qing Dynasty, objected to the division of poets and poems into schools. But the present works of literary history still regard him as a representative of Zhejiang School of poems. This viewpoint is not conducive to the proper understanding of his poetic uniqueness. Rather than learn and promote a specific school, he was devoted to the artistic quality of poems, i.e., the novelty of poetic meaning and the properness of lines.
