Analysis of Criticism on Chinese Classical Figurative Calligraphy

在中国古典书法理论中,比喻式书法批评是普遍应用的书法批评方法之一。比喻式书法批评包括本体、喻体、相似点和比喻词等四个要素。比喻式书法批评的形成与儒家的"比德"思想和《诗经》的"赋"、"比"、"兴"传统,有着紧密的联系。具有间接性、模糊性、想象性等特点。比喻式书法批评使人们能够通过书法与自然物象的联系来深入理解书法的意义,使人们能够通过书法与人的联系来认识书法的真谛。

In classical Chinese calligraphy theory, figurative calligraphy criticism is one of calligraphy criti- cism methods commonly used. Figurative calligraphy criticism includes such elements as ontology, the analogized body, similar points, and parable words. The establishment of figurative calligraphy criticism is closely related to Confucianism ＂promotion of ethics＂ and the tradition of Fu, Bi, and Xing employed by Book of Songs. Figurative calligraphy criticism is characterized by indirectness, fuzziness, and imagina- tiveness. Figurative calligraphy criticism can enable people to understand the connotations of calligraphy deeply through the relation between calligraphy and natural objects and through the connection between calligraphy with human beings.
