摘要
政府外宣翻译肩负着向世界宣传中国、让中国走向世界的重任,具有跨文化交际的特点。因此,它的译介将直接影响跨文化交流的效果乃至国家的整体形象。本文结合政府外宣翻译中普遍存在的信息冗余现象,通过对词汇、句法两个层面的具体分析,指出"经济简明"原则对政府外宣翻译极具指导意义,能有效避免译文的累赘繁复,提高政府对外宣传英译的效度,从而有助于提升国家的国际形象。
Governmental publicity translation, bearing the characteristics of intercultural communication, shoulders the important task of publicizing China to the world. Therefore, the translation of which will directly influence the effect of intercultural communication and even the overall image of the country. This paper, making detailed analysis of the redundant information in governmental publicity translation, points out that economic-conciseness principle is of great significance in translating governmental publicities for it enables translators to avoid redundancy effectively, which helps enhancing the validity of publicizing and promoting the country's international image.
