王祥麒教授认为特发性血小板减少性紫癜病因病机可归纳为"热"、"虚"、"瘀"三点。热是本病发生最重要的病因病机。虚是内因,瘀既是发病之因,又是病理产物,并贯穿本病始终。其临证以此为出发点,遣方用药每获良验。

Professor WANG Xiang-qi insisted that there were three highlights in the etiopathogenisis of idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, which were heat, deficiency and stasis. Heat was the most important etiopathogenisis of this disease. Deficiency was the internal cause. While stasis was both etiopathogenisis and pathological product, penetrating through this disease. Prescriptions on the basis of the above theories were effective every time.
