美国教育集体谈判乃是教师与教育委员会之间的一种协定或制约,通过这种机制,教师得以提出增加工资、减少工时及改善雇佣条件等要求,而教育委员会亦可以为保留自己在教育政策的制定和学校的运营管理的权威而努力,教育工会通过集体谈判权的行使得以最大限度的维护会员教师乃至非会员教师的权益,此一集体谈判制度足资我国教育工会维权建设以借鉴。
