The construction cost of hydropower engineering needs more scientific and rigorous management because of long construction period and substantial investment. The cost management and control in construction stage of Longkaikou Hydropower Station Project is implemented according to the principle of ＂Static control and dynamic management＂. The construction cost management of Project is introduced from the aspects of tender planning of main structures, tender management, design management and optimization, contract management, basic information for cost control and cost audit, and a series of control measures are also proposed. These management and control measures provide a guarantee for the smooth construction of project.
