Even today his translation is still popular and is considered as the model of the Yi Jing translation by the western Sinologists. This thesis aims at the discussion of the ide- as, the advantages, and also the shortcoming and mistakes of his translation, so as to benefit the improvement of translation and communication of the Yi Jing in the new century.
