The Past and the Future of Foreign Periodical Resource Sharing:A Case Study of Union Catalogue for Foreign,Hong Kong and Taiwan Science Technology Periodicals Subscription in East China

以《华东地区外国和港台科技期刊预订联合目录》20多年来的变化为主线,回顾上海地区图书馆外文期刊资源建设与共享工作发展轨迹,论述各种载体外文期刊采访、整合和揭示间的关系,总结外文期刊资源建设中的经验,提出需利用新技术走共建共享之路。

Based on the Union Catalogue for Foreign, ttong Kong and Taiwan Science Technology PeriodicaLs Subscriptionin East China, the paper tracks the two-decade changes of resource construction and resource sharing by libraries in Shanghairegion, especially regarding foreign periodicals. It narrates the acquisitions of foreign periodicals of various formats, sum-marizes experience of foreign acquisitions, and proposes innovative ways of resource sharing by means of new technologies.
