摘要
现今高校图书馆存在不根据自身实际情况盲目追求信息延伸服务(如学科服务),希望能在教研中担任重要的信息服务角色,但往往忽视了从教研人员角度审视在他们心目中最希望图书馆承担什么样的信息服务角色。本文根据美国对高校教研人员的调研结果提出,高校图书馆首先必须要担当好"Buyer"(采访者)的角色,严把采访关,高度重视成本效益,并在此基础上,若有足够的实力,图书馆才可进行延伸性服务。
A lot of academic libraries have blindly pursued derivative information services recently in the hope of playing a critical role in teaching and researching, while ignoring their primary mission, as perceived by faculty, should be a good "buyer". In accordance with surveys conducted among faculty in American higher learning institutes, the pa- per proposes that academic libraries should guarantee effective acquisitions before engaged in derivative information services.
