自从孔子提倡温柔敦厚的性格特征以来,中国便深受老成持重、温柔敦厚的儒家美学影响,所以历代文人都在有意无意间推崇温柔敦厚的理想性格,这种理想性格演化为中华民族向往的文化性格。作为文人十分喜爱的光器紫砂壶,被文人和工匠完美的塑造出温柔敦厚的形象。因为,即便历代文人自己不能彻底改变性格成为真正温柔敦厚的人,也要在自己喜爱的器物上进行补偿性的创作。所谓借物喻人、借物抒情。
