The current research held a three-year follow-up investigation on 285 students of grade 3 and grade 4 in elementary school. We analyzed the trend and individual differences of children's peer respect development, and discussed the effects of sociability-leadership on children's peer respect development. The result demonstrated that getting and giving respect grew steadily in the past three years. According to the initially tested data, we found that getting respect has no significant difference between girls and boys, but girls tend to grow faster than boys in the growth rate of getting respect. With regard to the giving respect, we saw a gender advantage on it in the early stage (7 to 8 years old) sueh as girls' score are higher than boys', but the growth rate of giving re- spect has no significant difference between them. More importantly, sociability-leadership is a significant predictor of developmental trend of peer respect of children.
